Founded in 2003 in the heart of Vancouver, Magic Ninja Art Collectors began as a passion project by art enthusiast and collector Maria Chen. What started as a small gallery space has evolved into one of Canada's most respected art collection and curation services.

Maria Chen

Founder & Chief Curator

With over 25 years in the art world, Maria holds a Master's in Art History from UBC and is a certified appraiser with the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group. She specializes in Canadian contemporary and Indigenous art.

James Morrison

Senior Art Historian

James brings 20 years of museum experience to our team. Former curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery, he holds a PhD in Canadian Art History and specializes in 19th and 20th-century Canadian paintings.

Sarah Blackbird

Indigenous Art Specialist

A member of the Haida Nation, Sarah ensures our Indigenous art practices honor traditional protocols. She holds certifications in Indigenous art authentication and cultural preservation.

Dr. Robert Dumont

Conservation Specialist

With a PhD in Art Conservation from Queen's University, Robert oversees all conservation assessments and preservation planning for our clients' collections.

Alexandra Turner

Market Analyst
